Two swivel handles. The lid is attached with two pieces of leather attached to the back, so the lid lifts off and back, yet stays attached. A leather loop hooks around a small dowel in the front to keep your items secure during transit. 

This basket is previously loved and in good condition. There are several chips in the wood on the handles, as pictured. They aren't noticeable and don't impact the function of the basket.
